My childhood was surrounded by creativity. My Mother was always making
some sort of home decor, or decoupaging something, & my Father
makes Native American items & wire trees.
I started
beading simple jewelry about nine yrs ago when my husband bought me a
bunch of supplies for Mother's Day. At first, I was only making jewelry
for myself, & for gifts. A few yrs later, my husband convinced me
to start selling my wares.
After seven yrs of us trying to
get pregnant, & several heartaches later, I became pregnant with
our son. My husband got me a belly cast kit so we could make a cast of
my big 'ole belly, & the kit included more plaster than was needed.
I didn't want to be wasteful & throw it all away, so I started
working with it, & my interest in plaster was born.
About 2 yrs later, I had decided polymer clay was fantastic, & I
set out to play & learn the wonders of clay. Shortly after that, a
love for wire sprouted, & I'm currently learning to work with it.
Everything I make is a one of a kind item. I believe in being unique,
& like for my products to reflect the individuals using them. All
items are made in a smoke free environment, & most are made by
recycling or giving things a new purpose.
I've known my
husband's family for 23 yrs, & we've been married for 10 yrs. Our
son is three, & his cat Nimh is 8 months. His wish for a gecko, however,
remains immortal.
