Hi, my name is Su and I live in the UK. I have been beading for 4-5 years. It started with a loom, a cheap bag of seed beads and no idea what I was doing. After a lot of experimenting and swearing I completed my first project . . . I was hooked! I started to google and discovered brick stitch, peyote, RAW, herringbone . . . the list went on. Then one day I found "netting". It did not take me long to realise that this was 'my thing'. Within no time at all I was busy not only making but also designing my own pieces. I now write all my own patterns with full instructions and illustrations. I have sent some these out to numerous people on other member websites. Because of the interest being shown from total beginners I even went as far as to write a beginner's guide culminating in full instructions for 3 necklaces using some basic netting stitches. This guide has now helped several people get started and move on to some of my original designs. If you are interested please get in touch.
Since becoming a 'little beader' (I think that's what my husband referred to me as) I have discovered a whole community of likeminded people who are always willing to share tips and hints on sites like this, and I hope that I can do the same and give something back to the 'community'.
Take care and thank you for taking the time out to read this.
