Everyone's menus sound wonderful! I'm 49 years old and only began cooking my own holiday meals about 5 years ago, so you guys are WAY ahead of me when it comes to holiday cooking! I've discovered that I absolutely love cooking the good ol' traditional turkey dinner with all the fixin's! Its a lot easier than it looks, especially

You've received lots of good advice. I bought a ton of half-hard wire last year when the price of silver bottomed out. I now wish I had bought dead-soft, because it is so much easier to work with when it comes to any wire wrapping technique. From now on I'll buy dead soft, but I have a whole pound of HH wire that I need to use up. When I use

The Craft Kit Company makes a storage box that holds 50 small boxes which will hold 20gms each of seed beads. When I looked in FMG, the prices started above $60.00 and went on up, to over $100. Out of the question for me
Stan - You're missing nothing. I bought a "small"

I don't know if FMG carries them, but I know Rio Grande carries them. They're about $12-$15. If FMG carries them, they may be a bit cheaper. You want the kind with a dial, so that you can measure in fractions of a millimeter. We won't order for a while - probably not until after January 1. Holiday season is not the time for obvious reasons

Lois, I wish I had read this sooner! I hope your family is recuperating, and I hope I'm not too late to give this advice............ Wash your hands often and use alcohol-based hand sanitizer! The month of October was really bad here in my hospital office, and schools were closing because of illness. My boss was out for a week and my officemate

Evalie, I'm so glad to hear you had a good time at the bead show! Of course, how many of us WOULDN'T have a good time?! Congrats on your purchases! A bead shopping list? I agree, I only take the list so I won't forget to look for something. But many times, I don't find exactly what I want, or I don't find it at all! Last year I had

Best of luck, Sheila! I hope you do well! And how exciting that the little girl's grandmother and family are making specific plans to visit your booth. I hope you sell out! The tree fundraiser sounds pretty neat, too!

Hi Sheila! Nice to "talk" to you again. It seems to me that they sent it out at least two weeks in advance last year. That's why I sent my inquiry to them this week. Last year, I had at least one weekend to set up and plenty of time to price my jewelry (being the procrastinator I am). And of course this year I haven't been pricing

Grrr! I have to vent! Do any of you folks who do shows set up your booth ahead of time in your home as a test run? That's what Rena Klingenberg recommends, and I did that last year. It was a tremendous help. I planned my booth after I got the booth map and saw where my booth space would be located. I've been so excited about the Steamboat show

I'm beginning to wonder if I misunderstood what was going to happen. I still have work access to BD, Yahoo Mail and other sites, but the public access computer is now in the conference room. Maybe my coworkers and I are not being cut off completely as I anticipated. I truly hope this is the case and that my luck will continue to hold out on this
