• Buying Group....

I know that there are alot of us, here, in this forum, who have stated that we use FMG for many of our supplies. I also know, that at best, I can only attain either the first or second tier of their discount buying. Just today, I received an e-mail, from FMG, talking about making/joining a buying group (well duh, why didn't I think of that before

  • Re: Bead Parties?

I have not provided nor attended a bead party, however, I have been a member of an Online Party, for selling my merchandise. They are a lot of fun (almost like a Tupperware Party but from the comfort of your own home - for everyone) and yes, there typically are a lot of sales. I offer the ability to do online parties, through my site. They are very

  • Re: How do you price???

I use Jewelry Designer Manager not only to keep track prices but also to help me come up with a price for my pieces. I have mine set up to average the cost that I pay for items. For example: I buy 144 Swarovski Bicone - Crystal for 8cents from one place and then I find a deal/sale and buy 144 more for 5cents. I enter both of the purchases in my "file"
DO YOU SELL YOU INSTRUCTIONS? THE BRACELET COLORS ARE MAGNIFICENT. I WOULD LOVE TO DO ONE JUST LIKE IT TO GIVE TO MY MOTHER...CAROLE
No, I actually do not write down the instructions. I create when I see the stones/beads or I create as I am actually working on the piece. I do sell my items, and you are more than

  • Re: Projects: education or Inspiration?
So, would you enjoy a magazine that showed, say, several variations on a project, and simple basic stitch technique tutorials rather than a whole step-by-step?
Personally, I would be quite interested in a magazine like that, yes.
Interesting! So I'm curious, then--what makes you buy a particular issue if you don't follow instructions? What is it that grabs you about any piece? do you buy other magazines that aren't stepped tutorials, such as Ornament or American Craft? This might be about personal taste, I suppose. :-)
I buy

I used a yard of 6lb Fireline and two needles and "wove" the piece together (the center of the piece is done first and then the outside crystals are put on second). I use the technique alot: and, as you can see, vary it to suite my needs/creativity.

Oh thank you!!!! Let me tell you I have been practically chewing my fingernails off until getting home tonight and logging on to find out if anyone commented. I do have a site and I don't know why it isn't showing up in my signature (in fact no signature is showing at all - going to have to fix that) but it is: careenscreations.com

  • My first Submission to this thread.......

Okay, so I have been "lurking" around here and writing some responses (enough to have put me in the top 50 within just a few days of joining) but I have not been brave enough to post one of my creations here (y'all have such lovely work that mine seems to pale in comparison - at least in my eyes). Well, I feel brave today...... I would

  • Re: Simple autumn colors necklace...

I love it!!!! And how creative you were in putting it on your scanner. I wondered why it had such an interesting look to it (the picture that is).
