if it's not too late, I have a very easy solution for you. use epoxy to glue on a glue-on bail - like the kind glass folks use on their pendants. you can get those easily from Etsy.

just found this post - thank you so much. now I have a better idea about why some of my pieces were not selected. I can't wait until Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
when will we find out who won?
-
the email I received when I submitted my pieces said finalists would be notified of their status on June 20. It's evening here now so I am wondering if something changed?

I LOVE beadsandpieces! and that is a great idea for a category.
-
I like that idea. please!

I hope it's improved for you by now. I live in CA and it was 102 yesterday. Luckily I have both an upstairs and a downstairs air conditioner!

many of us are so excited! is there a lot of voting going on? did you advertise the contest in other places? just curious!

right you are, it's a lovely design. didn't catch it the first time around. I do see that it is strung with "regular" plastic beads. my thought is that perhaps polymer-only designs were not really considered. perhaps they meant that polymer could be mixed with lucite or resin beads and still be counted as plastic. I can't wait

Was polymer clay actually considered in the plastics category? It seems very odd that none of the finalists are polymer clay. My plastics entry was polymer clay and I was pretty sure had a good chance of winning - when I saw it didn't even make the finals I was very surprised. Just wondering...
