Congratulations Erin! I haven't seen this issue yet (we're always a bit behind here in the UK!) but will be looking out for it next time I get to my LBS!

Thank you all for your lovely comments - this has been just the confidence booster I needed! Bead Magazine have asked for a crystal project based on my winning necklace ('based on'... because I have no idea exactly how I made that piece, I just know that I couldn't do it again!) so now I have an excuse to go and play with more sparkly things

I'm on a roll at the moment - this weekend I was invited to the UK's 'Big Bead Show' as I was juried into the finals of the British Bead Awards contest. I'd entered pieces in five categories but neither my beadwoven jewellery piece nor my beaded beads was selected to go forward to the finals. However, my netted necklace 'Fading

Once again thanks to everyone for the kind words!

I'll be sorry to see Step by Step Beads go - I've had several projects in the magazine and enjoyed a very happy working relationship with Leslie and her team over the past couple of years. You beaders are all so lovely! Thank you for the kind words. Here are some more pictures: Enjoy!

I'm right with you on this one too - if it's got a hole in it (or even sometimes if it hasn't!) then it's grist to my beading mill! Even when making items for sale, so long as you are upfront with your customers about the materials you use, it doesn't matter what those materials are. Some people will only buy handmade lampwork and

Hello again everyone, seems like forever since I was last here and I've got some serious catching up to do! Thought I'd start with a peek at a piece I made for the 'Crystals' category in a beading contest organized by one of our UK bead magazines (and it's so good being able to type those words; when I started beading 'seriously'
