    Sheryl here's my thoughts- There are many classes I want to take at my LBS but of course I don't have the funds to do so right now. As of lately the biggest reason for me is money but if I had the money, the second biggest problem for me is time and a babysitter for my kiddos. For the classes at my LBS they sell kits for each particular class

    Jeni I would agree with Billy if you can find a junk yard or something you can make your own block. I know the tiny 3X3 one they sell at FMG is about $23 last time I checked. I got a piece of scrap steel from a local scrap yard sized 8X8. They cut it for me and it was less than $10 with tax. I have more surface to work on and it was much cheaper. I

    I know exactly what you mean Inca! Sherri convinced me earlier this year to spend the money on Lindstroms and I am so glad I did! They are just like holding clouds and the fine tips are so much better! I like the longer handles on them too.
