I'm a 39 year old beadaholic from southern Finland. I have always done crafts, the HC-beading started last summer. I mostly work with seed beads, I love the illusions you can create, and the handycraft of beadweawing. Lately I have taken the first steps into wirework, semiprecious stones and stringing, and my crimping pliers arrived 2 days ago - but I'm still very strongly into the precious seeds of happiness. I don't know, how much time I will have to hang out in this forum, since I'm already a member of 2½ other beading forums - The Finnish 'Helmetti', the Belgian 'Histoire de Perles', and the French 'Ile aux perles'. In the Finnish forum the seed beaders are a marginal group, but the work with the "tiny" beads is highly respected. In HDPS I hang out in the seed bead area, as I do at Ile aux perles - in the French forum I only give feedback on the creations of the other beaders (this is the '½' part :) ). My earliest beadwork, and some of my sisters beadwork can be seen in our homepage, The Troll and The Fairy, where I have attached links to tutorials and patterns used, whenever possible. I moved to a (now very quiet) blog some years ago: Peikonpesä - a Troll's nest.
Besides beading, I love dancing, reading and animals, and enjoy learnig all the non-beadwork related facts about culture, geography and foreign languages you bump into while rummaging the net for new patterns and inspiration.
