About Me:
My name is Briana and I am a trained bench jeweler. I learned to fabricate rings, bracelet and necklace components out of sheet stock (gold and silver mostly). Also I learned to cast jewelry using both the vacuum and centrifugal casting methods. I recently made the discovery that bench jeweler's aren't as well paid as I believed, so now I am back in school.
I have been beading for about 5 years. I am a self taught beader most of what I do is stringing, a little bit of weaving, and I just started wire work. I would like to combine my bench jeweler experience into my beading. However, right now I don't have the time or money to set up a torch etc.
My bead toolbox is full of multi-colored seed beads, swavorski crystals, silver chain, gray pearls and various findings in silver. I really want to try Delica beads for bead weaving just haven't gotten around to it yet.
I love the freedom that comes from creating jewelry. If you try an idea and you don't like it; it's no big deal just start over.
Also I love the different color combinations people come up with, although I haven't tried very wild color combos (I stick to the traditional blue group, red group, etc.)
