I dabbled in jewelry making as a kid but, for some reason, life got in the way and I didn't make jewelry again for many years. I picked it up again in 2000 and have been addicted ever since! I like simple designs utilizing mostly wire wrapping and stringing techniques. I usually work with sterling but also do some work with gold-filled findings and gunmetal. I especially enjoy using copper and brass as well. I love making jewelry that speaks to the wearer; it needs to be meaningful to them. I often will do custom orders and really like making specialty pieces by matching the wearer's personality or desires to the meaning of a gemstone. My design style has been called young and funky, but I can do more sophisticated pieces as well. I've been fortunate enough to be able to sell my jewelry part-time at charity shows, in private homes, and through a dear jeweler friend for the last 9 years. I am building a store on Etsy and hope to have that in full swing in 2010. I would also like to expand my jewelry business in the new year!
