Coming
from a long-standing family tradition of craftspeople, I was in search
of a way to use my creative talents to make something unusual, yet
appealing to a wide variety of individuals. Crocheting wire with beads
has become my passion, one that I enjoy immensely. This technique allows
for endless design possibilities.
"If only my grandmother could see me now" is a thought that often
crosses my mind as I crochet jewelry pieces. As a child, she taught me
to crochet with yarn. In fact, both of my grandmothers and my
great-grandmother were avid crocheters, creating many heirlooms. They
would be astonished to see crocheting done with wire and beads and the
beautiful results that one can achieve.
Jeanne deJeanne
jewelry specializes in fulfilling the needs of women who want to wear
jewelry with distinction. Artisan bridal hair jewelry such as tiaras and hair vines can be
converted to necklaces or bracelets. Coordinating bride and bridesmaid
jewelry, and unique jewelry for special occasions and everyday wear can

Copper, sterling silver, gold-filled, and silver-filled wire are some of
the kinds of wire that may be used to crochet a handmade Jeanne
deJeanne piece. The beads may be made from precious metals,
glass, crystal, precious and semiprecious stones. You may even chose to
have your own beads of sentimental value used in your custom designed piece.
For the do-it-yourselfers, classes are offered and patterns are sold on Craftsy. Most of the collection can be found at www.shop.jeannnedejeanne.com and is available for home parties and at several local craft shows.
