Designer: Julie Ann Smith
Published: August 15, 2008
Technique: Peyote Stitch

Julie Ann Smith loves color. Being a cartoonist at heart, she’s also a big fan of black and white. This odd-count peyote stitch bracelet is named after the illusion that the center section of the bracelet appears larger than either side, although it is really the same size. Project download include a color chart of the bracelet pattern and suggestions for finishing. Previous experience with peyote stitch recommended.

The pattern and attention to detail are outstanding on this bracelet. The color contrast is very eye pleasing. The optical illusion is true to the title. A true work of art. Thank you for sharing.

I love the pattern, the moment I found the project i dowloaded the project and rushed off to the bead store. I'm deviating on the colors because my clothing is more browns, but the pattern is gorgeous and I thank you so much for sharing this project with all of us. I hope one day when i'm not running around doing schoolwork, I can come up with something this amazing!
