I started doing Kumihimo about six years ago.  I primarily do it with seed beads and have made bracelets and 20" necklaces with focal stones.  I live in the midwest and know one had ever seen anything like it.  I am a left hander and could not master the spiral weave that looks similar so this is what I mastered.  I have taught it to all my beading friends.

I've never used wire in my kumihimo work and now I can't wait to try it. My husband bought me a wood marudai for my birthday and I LOVE it. The prep work is time consuming but once you get started braiding, the results are quick and fabulous.

My computer and I are becoming the best of friends, downloading the diverse range of FREE did I mention FREE beading patterns, I hardly know where I want to start.  I do know this though I have just started out and I go to make something and think, well if I had this type of bead or this colour bead I could carry on.  I add more things to my beading wishlist and end up here starting another one of your great projects.  The best thing is I have several projects on the go and appreciate the FREE patterns so I can buy a bigger selection of beads even better I don't feel overwhelmed just hooked and loveing it!  Thankyou Beading Daily
