Give simply strung pearls a lush look by weaving in a second strand, creating a gently meandering trail of glistening seed beads. Add silver accents of dragonflies, a hedgehog, and a floral toggle for a completely enchanting design. For more about this project, see the blog post "Ideas for Using Fringe."

This is such a pretty design, it has an air of Midsummer Night's Dream ;) Very beautiful, unfortunately I'm not at the skill level required for it, but I will definitely use it as an inspiration for simpler designs.

This a very pretty design.  I love the look of the asymmetry.  Unfortunately, once completed the weight is unbalanced and causes the necklace to constantly shift so it does not remain centered on the neck when worn.  I would recommend that anyone trying this design modify it to do one or more of the following:

  • reduce the weight of the elements on the left hand side
  • add elements to the right hand side
  • move one of the two main elements from the left hand side to the right hand side (this could be done by still maintaining some amount of asymmetry by positioning the elements at different distances from the center on either side

Otherwise I love the combination of colors, materials and techniques.

Personally, I am going to try to add some elements to the right side of mine to try and balance the weight before tearing in apart and starting again.
