Rose montées are rhinestones with a channeled metal backing for thread to pass through in crossing directions. Prestring rose montées on a bead loom and then weave a cobblestone texture of 4mm cube beads and size 8 seed beads between them. This project from the Beadwork archives will be available free for a limited time.

I want Kalmbach Publishing to know that I appreciate receiving these free patterns. I don't always start the project but do file it for later use..Toni C. Perkins

I've been unable to download any of the free patterns for a few months now. It shows that I am logged on, but when I try to download, the screen just shows the project's title, and I can progress no further. I've looked in the "help" section. Any suggestions as to what else I can try?

Vik... Have you tried clicking on the the project's title? When you log in, it will show a page with an "Adobe" logo and the title next to that. Click on that title where it says "Download Stones and Roses". That should open an Adobe document which you can open or save to your hard drive. HTH... ~Lisa

THANK YOU so very much for Beading Daily :)) I am so inspired by all the projects. I also file and keep for later use. I have just started pottery lessons with the intention of making ceramic pendants and beads. Bless you for sharing!

VikM, Right click on Download Stones and Roses, then scroll down and click on "Save Target As". From there choose a place to save the file. I usually save it to my desktop to begin with and then move it to a file later. I hope this works for you! This really is a beautiful project. I hope I have all the "ingredients" so I can start cookin'!

Once more, Thank You, for the lovely patterns you give us. I only started buying magazines and joined Beading Daily towards the end of 2007, so any thing that goes back before that is such a bonus. Sue
