Autumn Leaves Lariat

This is a Twisted Herringbone Rope Lariat I made for my mom. It is fringed with lots of little leaves, flowers and pearls. I originally made this with only leaves for the fringe and thought it was kind of plain and not full enough. So I went looking for inspiration and found it in Bead Romatique by Lisa Kan...she has a sprial rope lariat in there that uses similar leaves with the little flowers and pearls...so I borrowed the flowers and pearls technique and it worked great to fill out the fringe.

Thanks Kathi! I just learned how to post photo's on this site...haha! I'm kind of new to the online world of forums and galleries!

But I will start getting some photo's posted in the forum soon!

I am in the process of documenting the pieces I still have or that are in the possession of close friends and family members...I have given so much away and didn't even think to photograph a lot of it! So I am learning to use my husband's digital camera...I still have my old 35mm film camera from the early 80's...so this is all new to me!

And I have been much better about taking pictures of everything lately! It's really important for us to document our progress...it's amazing to be able to look at older pieces and see how much we learn as we go! I just wish I still had some of the work I have given away, at least so I could photograph it!
