Herringbone African Jade Earrings

An African Jade bead has been wrapped with copper wire in the herringbone weave pattern. The copper wire is a nice compliment to the green African Jade bead. A black glass pearl dangles from a hammer formed paddle drop. The ear wires were crafted using 20 gauge copper wire, shaped into cloverleaf shape in the front and sanded smooth for comfort.
A unique piece of quality handcrafted jewelry. the earrings measure 2' from the hooks and are 1/2" wide.

A unique piece of jewelry crafted from Vintage Cookie Tins. This one has an abstract colorful design. I cut, filed and sanded smooth each disk, domed and connected each link with non tarnish stainless stell split rings. The bracelet closes with a toggle clasp. The bracelet is 7-3/4" in length qnd will fit most wrists. Artisian crafted from an abstract design on a vintage cookie tin. I cut. filed and sanded smooth the three disks then dommed them. They are connected with rust resistant stain steel split rings and are connected to Silverplated French hooks. The earrings drop to a length of 2-1/4." The top dsk measures 3/4." and the bottom disk is 3/8."

Each piece was cut filed and sanded smooth. the pendant consists of a 2-1/2' main disk with a 1' center disk as the floower center. It is connected to the main disk with silverplated wire as the stamens. A bail was formed with the silverplated wire and connects to a 20' non tarnish aluminum chain with toggle clasp.

Artisian crafted ffrom Copper flasing. the copper was cut, filed, sanded and the yorched to achieve the beautiful reddish, siver, blue patina. I then fold formed the "pod" added green African Jade "peas." A bail was formed at the top and connected to an adjustable black satin Chinese sliding knot cord. It adjusts to a length of 24." The pea pod measures 2-1/2" by 3/4."

Halloween Kids pins and earrings (bottom row) -- original design (all), worked in 90 Degree Off-Loom Stitch (90DO-L --sjm Nov 1997) using size 13 seed beads. In order: Ghost Kid, Pumpkin Kid (later ver. at left and earlier ver. at right), and Skeleton Kid (far right, complete set of pin with trick-or-treat 'bag' and skull earrings); between 'Kids' -- a green mitten with jack-o-lantern, trick-or-treat 'bag' (earlier ver.), and a jack-o-lantern on black earring. (other Halloween Kids not shown) --sjm

Bingo pins (two styles) (upper left) -- original design (all), worked in 90 Degree Off-Loom Stitch ( 90DO-L --sjm Nov 1997) using size 13 seed beads. Top pin is a later version and lower two are earlier versions -- only difference is the 'BINGO' letters with background. All three have initial tags at bottom left -- each pin (total of 10) has the intended's initials; tag inspired by Levis jeans back left pocket tag. Later version was a replacement for a lost original (9 total pins with 9 individual initials) -- her lucky Bingo pin.

Snowflake Mitten earrings (center) -- element (mitten, modified) from a counted cross-stitch pattern (book in storage), worked in 90 Degree Off-Loom Stitch (90DO-L --sjm Nov 1997) using size 11 and 13 seed beads. Single Mitten earrings (5 sets) -- multi-blue, multi-green, multi-pink, blue, black with white, silver, dark gold snowflakes and cuff and accents. Double Mitten earrings (1 set) -- two blue mittens with white snowflake and yellow accents on a black cord per earring.

Snowflake Mitten dangles (right) -- element (mitten, modified) from a counted cross-stitch pattern (book in storage), worked in 90 Degree Off-Loom Stitch ( 90DO-L --sjm Nov 1997) using size 11 seed beads. Mittens on a string (2 sets) -- purple with silver snowflake and gold accents & green with silver snowflake and gold accents, both on black strings.
