I saw this mentioned in the May 22 Beading Daily. I have also been looking for something similar for my friend who does relief work in Turkey. After thinking about this for awhile, I decided that before I could design some simple projects for her I would need to know what beads, bead colors and beading materials are easily obtainable in the local area. It would also be useful to know approximate costs of all materials involved before developing a feasible project. Then it would be a good idea to take a look at the local culture (symbolic designs, colors, clothing, etc.) to design something that could be considered representative of the area. Any other ideas or comments?
Ndebele herringbone is an easy stitch, and a bracelet made from it would be fairly simple but still be elegant on a budget...
