Hi everyone. Given that I'm in the southern hemisphere, can anyone tell me what the "in" colors are for autumn/ Fall and Winter? Also tips on current trends re style etc.
I know most of you are coming into Spring (half your luck), but with Autumn nearly here I need to get thinking about my Winter stock.
Thx!
Here you go: Fire Mountain Gems has several seasons' worth of Pantone color forecasts in their "Fashion Spotlight" section. Hope that helps!

Also, Greys continued to be the hot neutral, along with a lot more jewel tones... deep purples, colbalt blues, mustard yellow... and the traditional "autumn" colors were quite popular too.
Another place I like to look for color ideas are the more "on trend" clothing websites... oddly enough, the clothing section of Victoria's Secret is a good place to look, along with Spiegel, Ann Taylor, and Nordstroms. Here are some links for you, you'll have to look at their "clearance" sections, but see what colors items were offered in, and make note of what colors the models are wearing (tends to be the most popular colors)

A few days ago Billy and I went to a shop where he's sold some things before. She says her biggest seller all year long has been a chain necklace with multicolored bright pastel mother of pearl chips attached along the entire length of it with jump rings. For $6.00. Apparently her customers don't want the natural colored mother of pearl chips in the same style or the multicolored bright pastel mother of pearl disks done the same way for $7.50, but she's sold hundreds of these chip necklaces. This has apparently been the case all year long no matter what season.
She did buy a few things from us which was really nice. The information she gave us was worth a lot. So Billy's names will be our high end, I guess bright pastel beachy hippie Indian should be a goal for some inexpensive things. I'm working on it!!!
