I am getting married in July and would like to make barefoot sandals for myself and my bridesmaids. If anyone has instructions I would really appreciate it. I am relatively new to beading but I have done some necklaces and earrings.
Try Ruby's Jewelry Design and Beadwork. She has some great free tutorials.
We've had this discussion here before. I can't immediately locate the thread. In the meantime, I've used this one (with different beads) http://www.rubysbeadwork.com/BFTutorial.html I had these bookmarked, too http://www.beadwrangler.com/project-Foot1.htm http://beadwork.about.com/library/weekly/aa020899.htm I had more bookmarked but when I went to check them out, the sites weren't there anymore. I'll keep looking for the thread here.

Back in 2002 I had a website with geocities and had a tutorial for barefoot sandals. I used the waybackmachine to find my old site. http://web.archive.org/collections/web.html
Type in www.geocities.com/tug_a_bead This will take you to a page and just click on April 07, 2002. You will see on the page the barefoot sandal and click on the link at the bottom of the pic.
You can change the colors to fit your needs. You do not have to use silamide thread. This is just a thread I perfer to use. This is just another freebie for you if you want.
I recently purchased a book called "Make Your Own Jewelry" by Christa Nolling & Kyra Stempell. On page 65, there's a pattern called Arabian Nights anklet that is a barefoot sandal. It's very pretty and might work for you. It doesn't look too difficult. If you can't find the book, let me know and I can copy the instructions and mail them to you.
