    what's going on here?

    good morning:

am i off my nut or does it seem to others that the "beading daily" posts are all about selling us something?  i don't remember the last time i've learned something...anything.  i've been pretty disappointed with the turn the newsletter has taken.  i opened todays excited to find out how to make resin beads only to find out i have to buy the december issue of a magazine to get the directions.  at least every other day some new book or subscription is being advertised.  please tell me: am i wrong?

Monda, Wednesday, and Friday are the newsletter days; the others are advertising,  I think it's a cheap way to pay for the website.  I don't mind it 'cause I know it's expensive to run a GOOD website, and a neat newsletter.

Yes, but I've noticed over the past couple of months even the M-W-F blogs tend to have a very strong tie-in to something being published or aired on TV.  I get that they want to highlight the current magazine issues, but the blogs used to be a bit more free of that.  It's getting to the point where I just skim over them and delete it because there's not much interesting, and I already look at the mags so I don't need a recap.

I have no problem with the resin bead post as it shows what you can do with them. Just the instructions how to do the whole necklace are in the magazine. I can also see how the ads pay for the BD website, but a bit less ads in the blog posts would be nice. Recently I often skim over the posts, too, cause there are not many interesting things for me to try or read, but that's just me and my opinion.

I'm with you Jeni and Dagi! Lately there seems to be a lot more advertising than there used to be. I didn't mind it before but now it seems like we are getting less and less of all the informational newletters we once did.

Before I realized the forums were here I always looked forward to the daily newsletter. I had many ah ha moments, since I was learning everything and still am. They did help a lot. Even though I've gained more experience I still liked to read the newsletters- could be for a trick to a certain technique I didn't know about or of the like. Now it's just constant advertising it seems.
