I ran in the Law Enforcement Memorial 5K yesterday (can't walk today) and it was beautiful. Here are some pics of the trees downtown (DC).
Truly beautiful - kept me going.

Oh they were. They almost glowed, if you know what I mean. Thanks.
Wow, those are lovely! The trees here are just barely starting to turn. I've seen a few hints of color but I think the best will be over the next week or two.

Thank you Courtney for sharing, it reminds me of when I was growing up for a bit in Northern Virginia. I do miss Fall[:'(]

I do have to say having grown up in Colorado, that the colors here in the East are amazing! So varied and bright, I do love it. My family gets tired of my saying "oh, look at that one!" :)
Awe I have a tree right out in front of my window that looks just like these. Golden yellow with hints of orange and red. I love the fall. I love the sweet smell from the leaves as well. I'm so happy to live where we experience all 4 seasons, they each have their own beauty to them.
Beautiful colors! Can't wait for the fall colors challenge to start. My two maple trees in the garden just started to turn yellow. In one or two weeks they will show the brighest yellow color. Love that!
So which place did you make in the race?

Well,
I was happy as I haven't really been running because of my plantar faciatis (which is getting better) I do this to support my husband - his deal. I love it though and hope to continue running now that my heel is better.
Ok - placed 123 (not sure out of how many or where I placed in my age group) Ran roughly an 11:30 min mile! I loved it! :)
