    Tubular herringbone Nebele <sp> pattern??

I have a pattern that my mom bought a magazine specifically for in 2002... and I still haven't made it.. I have no idea how to do the regular herringbone let alone the tubular. Is there a video around that someone has found that is as good as the ones that Leslie does?? I need that kind of lesson so to speak.. otherwise i just don't get it.. :S  If anyone has any suggestions feel free to post links.. I've been checking youtube and what not and no luck so far..

    Thx in advance,

    Krista

Here is a video from the Bead and Button site - Tubular Ndbele .  They also have a video for the flat Ndbele.

Another side for good tutorial videos is Auntiesbeads.com........they have both the flat & tubular herringbone.

You know you are now committed to making and posting a pic. of the finished item....and could we please see it in less than another 7 years....lol

Yes, DO IT NOW, as we want to see! Please? Big Smile

Here's another video, but I'm not sure, if it is only flat ndebele or tubular, too.

I'm doin.. I'm doin.. I just have to finish it and get a clasp on. Now my question is this.. if you want to put a focal bead in the middle..do you just start the ladder stitch and then the herringbone right on the other side? Maybe put the stringing media through a few times if the focal's not big enough to put some seeds int he middle<??> It seems to be going quite well. I've just been really sick lol so i haven't been on :)

I'm not sure about ndebele, but I did this with spiral rope. I made two halfs of the spiral rope and then connect them to each other with the end threads passing through the focal  bead several times. Don't know if I described it clearly enough. But I think you can start the ndebele, work to the place where the focal should sit, string it with several thread passes (to make sure the thread wouldn't break) and then go on with ndebele on the other side of the focal bead by starting a new ladder stitch row.
