Wow that was quick, but then your package made it here in a week too.  Must be a fast route from you to the East Coast.

Dagi, I can't imagine where your package went-usually it's fast from me to you.

Lita-- they're a funny opaque bright yellow with goldstone glass wrapped aorund the middle. Very fun, and I think they're going to blend with some other lampworked beads from Dagi I got in the regular bead swap. Just need some copper wire I think....

Lois - I remember those beads very well.  I bought them in 1995, from one of the bead sellers on 37th Street (Amola, sadly no longer in business).  I believe they are vintage Japanese, but they could be modern Indian.  I was never sure.

Glad you like them - can't wait to see what you make.

Yeah, what's up with that anyway??  I can't believe you guys still don't have your packages yet.

The only people I haven't got confirmation of receipt from are Inca, Dagi, Erin K, Kyra and Kirsten, but she hasn't been posting much so I'll bet she has hers.  Erin & Kyra are in Canada so I expected theirs to take longer but hopefully any day now.

I'm thinking we may have to make our finish time after Christmas at this point, unless everyone else gets their packages this week.  I'd like everyone to have at least a month to make things.

Re: Challenge Swap #3: Fall Colors

I've already done a necklace!  Should I post it here or wait until the official reveal?

I got inspired by the copper wire, red rocailles, autumn jasper and a bunch of other really pretty beads from my kit - I cranked out the first thing that came to mind when I started playing with all the goodies in my kit.  I'm not sure what I think of the finished necklace, it's not like anything I've done before - I've never done anything with copper wire and I'm finding that I really like the way it looks with certain beads - the only thing I added were some red jumprings from my personal stash and a length of copper chain that I bought on sale months ago with no idea of how I was going to use it.  Everyone was so generous that I still have enough beads left for a few more projects.  Isn't this fun?   I can't wait for the "reveal" to see what everyone else has done with thier kits.

Wait until the reveal.  I'll have everyone send pics to me and this time I'LL make a gallery of all the finished pieces for the reveal instead of us having to wait forever for it.

Yay! I just got my package today, and I can't wait to play with the stash! One question, when is the deadline for our photos of our pieces?

    Thanks again!
