I got home tonight to find beads sitting on the table. What a great assortment. Ideas are already starting but will have to wait until the weekend to try anything. Thanks to everyone involved and Jeni for organizing this again.

Wow, that's awesome!  I guess the shipping snafu wasn't such a bad thing after all.  I've been resisting the urge to dive into the kit until people start getting theirs, though I did use a few beads for my Muse project and a few others for a necklace & earrings that just worked perfectly (sold the earrings and made a 2nd pair at the bazaar!).  As soon as I finish my Muse today I'm dumping out the rest of the kit to get started!

I also took my camera around with me last week to take pics of some of the lovely fall trees just in case the beads aren't enough inspiration.Big Smile

Hm, I wonder where my package is? Seems that this time Italian and German mail service don't want to play together. Sad

Cool, about half the kits have arrived!

Ann, I love your contribution btw.  I haven't decided how best to use it yet (don't want to give anything away).

I had some time yesterday (home with a sick child) and cleared my beading desk, emptied all my goodies onto it, sorted things out and played.  Amazing colors, amazing beads. How did we all get so lucky?  Thank you all.

Re: Challenge Swap #3: Fall Colors

I keep getting distracted by the pile of treasures on my table. I REALLY don't have time this week... I'm teaching a class Saturday on creative (and cheap) gift wrapping and have to get all my samples and supplies readied... bud dang it all, I"d rather be making jewelry than bows and felt cutouts! On the other hand, I keep getting ideas on how to use some of my wrapping materials for jewelry.

I got a pair of beads from Lita in this swap that I'm just DYING to play with!

Re: Challenge Swap #3: Fall Colors

I organized mine this afternoon also.  So many possibilities!  I've got a few things set aside that just seem like they should go together and everything else sorted by color.  I'm thinking I'll make things out of the "meant to be" beads and the rest may be a lovely mixed-color something or other.

So far today I made a necklace out of some of Lita's & Sheila's beads, earrings from Inca's and another pair of earrings but can't remember whose beads they are.  I made a necklace & earrings the other day using a few beads from the kit also but I wouldn't really call it fall-themed.

    Lois:

Which ones?  There were so many!  I basically went through my "I'm never going to use these beads" box and sorted out anything I had in quantity.  Had I realized that all of the packages didn't have to be identical, I would have put in more beads.
