    A Wonderful 4th of July

Hope everyone had a Great 4th of July.

I had the best one of my entire life. My Husband is a carpenter by trade and I do crochet and knitting mostly. I told my husband about what I was trying to do and showed him the pictures of the hair combs. I also showed him another site where they use plastic hair combs. Here they drill holes into the plastic combs.  On Saturday while I was in my craft room trying to figure out how to make these combs, he was Bar-B-Queing a turkey. He came in and told me to gather everything up and come outside. He had set up a table for us and he showed me how to bead. He learned how to do beading in the Boy Scouts. Using some plastic hair combs that I already had and the box of beads that I bought on sale last year, we spent the whole weekend beading the hair combs. He made 4 different designs. I copied his first one and made 2 of them myself. Other than fishing, this is something that we can both do together that is the same thing. When he does his wood-stuff and I do my yarn-stuff, we cant't help each other or get involved with each others projects. With the beading, now we can and if feels so great!!! It also gives us another common thing to talk about.

When I get this figured out how to add my pictures here, I will post them for all to see.

    Talk to you later.

    Sue

    Hi Sue,

that sounds wonderful! Seems you and DH had a wonderful time together.

To add some pics here, you need an online photo account like flickr, mediafire or photobucket. When you uploaded your pics, copy the code under the pic and paste it here in your post and the pic should show up. But you have to be careful and choose the right code, but I'm not the expert to tell you which one, but I think the others know for sure. When I publish pics on my blog, it is enough to copy/paste the pic here, so it shows in the post. Hope this helps!

Sue, that's wonderful!  Not only did you figure out how to make the combs you've been wanting to make, but you did it with your husband.  Sweet!!!   Pink Glasses

I'd love to see how you did it.

Dagi's right, you need an image hosting site like Photobucket or Flickr.  I have both but I like to use Photobucket  http://photobucket.com/  here because for some unknown reason some people can't see the photos from Flickr.   Accounts for either are free.

Here is how you add photos:

If you have trouble with this you can try to simply copy the picture and paste it in here, which sometimes works too.  The earrings in the picture I used as an example were made for me by my earring swap partner for the last earring swap, Sue B.  I hope this helps, let us know if you have more questions...

Sue, that sounds like a great 4th.  I hope you get your pictures posted.  With Pam's instruction(our sensei of all tech things BD and pictures) you should be able to get those photos up.  Besides, having a flickr or photobucket account is a good idea for many reasons.  jeannie
