Finally back in the land of the living!

Hello everyone!  I've missed you all and have SO much catching up to do with all the many posts.  I've been reading since last night but thought to send a note to everyone.  I've been 'out of commission' for a while now -- SEEMS like forever, lol.   Myself and my hubby took off for San Francisco on June 18th to join my sister and brother and their families who were on holiday there from Ireland and England.  We had a total blast for the four days we were there with everyone.  We were all on the go constantly, and I know I pushed myself to be able for it all -- I LOVEd every minute of it!  BUT having burned the candle at both ends I picked up a crazy 'flu bug (impaired immune system) and am only now feeling like I'm somewhat normal (whatever 'normal' is!!)!   I FINally picked up my beady things today -- YAY!

I am SO far behind now, though. Sad  I finally completed putting the seventeen little packets of beads together for the bead challenge -- Jeni they'll be in the mail to you tomorrow!  Sorry for the delay.

I hope I don't miss any of the many deadlines.   My bracelet is ready for the mail and I believe it is mailed on July 24th?  I'll continue to read all the wonderful posts and try to catch up.

I'm participating in Scarlett's Use the Muse II and just have to say that I'm not at all settled on what I want to do  yet . . . am keeping fingers crossed that the Muse will 'speak to me' and that I can do justice to it!   I also have a few other items I need to finish off and am SO looking forward to being able and well enough for it all again.

So love to you all and happy beading and of course Happy Fourth to all those in the USA!!   -- Carol-Anne in Plano, Texas, where I'm 'hiding' from the triple digit heat!!

I was wondering where you'd been Carol Anne.  Glad to know everything is ok and that you're feeling better.

I haven't started my Muse project yet either.  I have a couple of ideas, but nothing solidified as yet.  Guess I'd better hurry up with it.

I will be sure to let you know when your beads arrive.  Don't worry-most others have gotten theirs out this week too, so I'm sure I should have a flood of packages in my mailbox this next week.

Hi Carol-Anne!!!  Wow it's good to see you again!

I'm glad to hear you had a good time in San Francisco with your family, but ooo that's too bad you haven't been feeling well.  I'm still praying for you.

I think you're right on time with the swaps, etc., though I'm not doing anything with Scarlett's Use the Muse II so I can't speak for that.  I just sent my beads to Jeni two days ago...

One more thing...could you see your way to send me some heat?  We could trade...some of my cool rain for your hot sun!  for you... .... sun please for me....

Welcome back Carol-Anne, I'm glad to see that you are feeling better.

Re: Finally back in the land of the living!

Thanks, Jeni!   Today was a great day for me as I actually got down to business with my 'muse' piece!   I'm so pleased to finally have some direction.   When in San Francisco I managed to fit in a VERY quick visit to  ONE bead store ( General Beads) and believe it or not purchased ONE bead that I truly loved plus some beautiful bronze czech glass leaves.   This one single bead has been my inspiration for the Muse piece.  Now all I have to do is work hard to make my 'vision' a reality!  More easily said, than done, isn't it?

I'm excited about this challenge/swap, Jeni and am looking forward to receiving the mystery beads!   Thanks for doing this! -- Carol-Anne.

Thanks, Christina!   I knew I was quite sick when I could not even take up  my needle and thread to bead with . . . but am glad to say that today was a good day for me -- I have NO patience with being 'under the weather' and DO regularly count my blessings.   Appreciate your note! -- Carol-Anne.

Re: Finally back in the land of the living!

Pam, as always your little smiley faces are SO cheerful and appropriate!   Brings a smile to my face just to see them.  I know I'm on the road to recovery now that I'm beading again and am pleased to have some direction at last.    Hugs to you too, Pam!    I sure DO wish I could send you some of the sunshine we're having here in Texas -- but honestly, right now it is just TOO darned hot!   We hit triple digits again today but the weatherman says to expect rain on Sunday.   It will cool down somewhat then.

Ordinarily I relish the fact that we have blue skies here with lots of summer sunshine -- if it stayed in the 80's (dream on) we'd have PERfect weather!!   Looking forward to some time in the water tomorrow, and more lovely fireworks in the evening.

Take care, Pam and thanks for the cheery note! -- Carol-Anne.
