Pieces ordered

I was wearing the lanyard I made for myself (still need to get a picture of it) and one of the ladies that works at the Dunkin Donuts I stop at every morning asked about it. When I told her that I had made it she asked if I could make one that would match the color of their uniforms so that she could attach her pen to it. Ceramic beads and silver plated curved tube beads. 

When I was in there last Friday and she was explaining to the manager what I was making, the manager asked if I could find something that could be put on the end of a sharpie marker and hung on something that the employees could wear - just without the beads. I did a search and found a rubber thing for lip balm similar to the lighter leashes that you see in a convenience store. I am putting it on just a simple rattail cord with the large split ring and clip so that they can take it off if needed. I figure once I get the supplies they will take about 5 minutes each to make and she ordered 16 of them. Will post a picture when they are done.  

Good job. That is why everyone says to wear what you make. It is the best advertising you can get. I have sold things off my body.......I should clarify that just a little to read,  I have sold jewelry pieces off my body.

Nice Pat, that's good!  I'd love to see a photo when they're done.  Also, I love those ceramic beads, the lanyard in this photo is great!

 SWEET! And what woman WOULDN"T prefer that a needed piece of equipment be transformed into a piece of jewelry! fun project, and I really like the beaded on.

Pat - I love the piece in the picture! It is gorgeous! Congrats on the order! It just goes to show you just never know where an order is going to come from.

How fun!  Isn't it great when you get a project like that?  That's exciting.  I'd love to see them when you're done also.

Congratulations Pat!  Doesn't that make you feel just grand to have someone place an order for something they've seen you wear that you've made?  That is so exciting!  If it only takes you 5 minutes to make them, I am sure that you will make a nice profit even if you sell them inexpensively. 

And Sue, I knew exactly what you were saying.  Deb (BD member from AZ Bead Depot) told me once that its always a good idea to be willing to sell someone the jewelry that you are wearing.
