well, now I am depressed, because after going back in to look at everything more carefully, I think there's no way I'm going to win anything. All the other entries were just so GOOD! I'm just amazed at the quality level throughout. I am very proud to be among the other finalists--what an honor!

I'll bet the votes will be close--there are so many good ones to choose from.

Erin, where's your PMA (positive mental attitude)??  Of course I had the exact same thought about mine, but you made the finals in what-6 categories?  You're bound to win somewhere!  Never say never, right?

I do actually have a good attitude about it--like everyone else, I'm just happy to be in the finals! If I don't win anything, I'm Ok with that. And if I am lucky enough to get something selected for the magazine, I'll be thrilled. I'm ridiculously excited for this year's magazine! I feel like a freshman going to the prom with a senior. :-)

 Haahahaha! Erin, I LOVE your analogy! But I know what everyone means. I'm thrilled to have been accepted in 1 catagory, but BOY, I'm amaized at the talent shown! I'll keep hoping, but somehow, it's just hard to believe enough people will vote for something you designed to make it in! never mind that SOMEONE has to win!

Yes, there was a post about it somewhere.  It runs until May 30th.  I think it was one of the BD members who posted it though.

I thought the same thing! I thought it would have been in the beading daily email the first day the finalists were posted, but I haven't seen a thing, except on the forums. They will probably mention it a few days before voting time is up and remind everyone to vote.

I laughed my butt off. Is the little gun to shoot yourself, or someone else? I could totally see taking this to your office and when someone is in a bitchy mood, you make them wear it as punishment.

 So far no one has said you can't talk about a piece, so I'm adding my two cents. I LOVE this piece. I have a necklace in the metals category but I voted for this one instead! I'm too old to need Midol but I would definitely wear this necklace.

I have to ask, Does the top of the can open? If so, is there more fun stuff inside?

the midol necklace definitely has a sense of humor and tells a story! I'm curious to see if people vote for it.

A friend of mine and I chose our top 5 in each category to compare. Its really fun to see what other people choose. We clearly have different taste, because our picks did not match up at all. I think voting is going to be all over the map.
