    Congrats to all of you who made the finals. I submitted a necklace for the stones category, but after reading Leslie's post about why many didn't make it I am pretty sure I know why I didn't make the finals, not that I really expected to since this is the first contest I have entered.

    Oh I know the glass category just blew me away it took me 45 minuets to decide!!! The work was just stunning

    Both Links on that page are the 2008 finalists.  They do not have a link up to view this years finalists.

    I just voted and honestly I  am amazed at the beauty and creativity that I saw. That was the hardest time I have ever had voting for something. Huh?

    Congrats to everyone who made it to the finals, but I want to say a SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS to two finalists whom I've gotten to know quite well on the BD forums and I consider them my friends - Lois and Jeni.   I hope so much that I will see your pieces in Bead Star 2009 magazine!

    Thanks Erin, Sandi & Sherri!  I got the word out to everyone I know to go and vote if they have a few minutes.  It's true, it was really hard to choose in some of the categories.  I had a hard time deciding between pieces I just loved and ones I was interested in understanding how they were made.  Guess we'll just have to cross our fingers and hope now!  Good luck again to everyone.
