    Furbabies- Post your pics!

Since we kinda got off on talking about our furbabies on the other thread, I thought I'd make a thread where we can post pictures of them and do all the bragging we want! Big Smile

    Here are mine:

    Leo, my old man-

    Abby, the little model-

This is Thomas, Cooper, and Shelby. I couldn't find one of Shelby and Cooper by themselves.

Marley- 5 mth old pit bull mix

Carley- also a 5 mth old pit mix and Marley's sister

And last, but not least, Bella, my one year old lab/husky mix

Thomas & Cooper when they were kittens

I guess that's enough for now. LOL Now I wanna see all y'alls babies!

Abby is sooo cuuuuute, "model" is the right word.  And I'd be partial to Bella, over the pups.  ( I had a very, very intelligent Lab once. )  I like most animals, except for one female German Shepherd -- and that is NOT the one I had as my first dog about 70 yrs ago! [She was nice.]

Abby always manages to some how "pose" in all her pics and ends up looking like a model. LOL She's definitely a pretty cat, but is probably most obnoxious personality wise.

And Marley is probably most attached to me of the dogs. She's a complete love bug and is spoiled rotten.

My furbabies have swapped around some. I lost one dog to old age and the other dog had to find a new home when i moved back to cali and lived with my mom for awhile. Hes got a great home now tho, he lives on a ranch and i get to hear about how hes doing often :) I just wanted to share the dogs too cause they were so important to me.

Group pic of the larger pets from b4 i got with my current fiancee (i had ferrets and lots of fish too at this time)

My princess, she loved to be dressed up for halloween and greet all the kids as they came for candy! She is in a better place now and free of her terrible arthritis. She is so dearly missed, the sweetest kindest dog ever!

Arwin with Nyala. It was near impossible to peel him away from her to get a pic :P

The royal felines, Tuck and Tiega. Tuck is the fluffy ragdoll, he has always owned the household, he used to beat up on my rottie just cause she looked at him funny. Poor old girl would just look pathetic like omg what did i ever do wrong and just take it. Tuck is declawed, so wacking her in the face never hurt thankfully. Hes not actually mean, he just liked to make sure the dogs knew who was the boss :)

My 8 year old Maine Coon/Ragdoll kitty Ashes, with my 9 year old Beagle/Whippet dog, Ace.

I will be a swallow, winging to warmer climes on the breath of the storm. I will be a deer, running swifter than the sunlight, sheltering in the birch thickets. I will be a salmon and swim the length of this great water in powerful surges; my scales will throw back the silver gleam of the Shining One like a melody of bright notes....Juliet Marillier

I wish I had some pictures to post, but sadly I don't. I had the most wonderful Calico cat ever. Her name was Lindsey and she died 4 years ago.

I recently just got a new "brother." My parents got a Chocolate Lab. His name is Grizzly Adams (Grizzy Bear is was we all call him) and he is so naughty! If any one else has ever had a lab puppy you know what I am talking about! And he is HUGE! He will be a year old this month and he weighs about 90 pounds.

My fiance has a little kitty named Moo that I love. All black short hair. Nice little kitty that likes to fetch :-) Can't wait to get married and join my guy because he promised me that I can get my own kitty. I am so excited!!

You all have such adorable little critters! But then again, I don't think I have really every seen an ugly one. Really makes me wish I could have a pet here at school. Ah well, soon enough I suppose!

This is my Hillbilly - we lost him about 2 years ago. So named because he was unwilling to be housetrained and ended up being an outside dog.

This is our spoiled rotten old girl that believes that she is not a dog - insists on sharing the hubby's lunch when he gets home from work. I have to make him 2 sandwiches so that he can bring 1/2 of one home for her. She is about 11 now and is slowing down with arthritis - although let my brother-in-law walk by the window near her bed and she goes crazy barking at him through the window but will not go outside. Almost anyone else can come right in and not a sound from her.

Aww, I love all y'alls pictures!

Pat, that's hilarious about your dog that didn't like your brother. My old sheltie, (who was put down a few years ago due to congestive heart failure) hated my brother for some reason. The funniest thing was that I could just say my brother's name and the dog would go ballistic!  LOL  I'd say, "Where's Bruce?" and he would jump up and start running around the house barking. I never understood why he didn't like my brother because he was great with everyone else. I told my brother that he must have taunted him at some point for him to dislike him so much. My brother swore he never did. But it became a joke in our house and whenever my brother would call me, I'd say "Where's Bruce" and get the dog to start running around barking and my brother would laugh his butt off.

We had a dalmatian back when my sis & I were still in school that was like that too.  She loved all of us but was really selective about who else she would tolerate in the house.  My sis's best friend was our next door neighbor and was over every day, and we'd have to put the dog in the basement.  But then, the first time my DH came over when we started dating, she liked him right away.  It was always hit and miss.

I was fortunate with my Boyfriend, the cat and the dog love him...Ace follows him around with his hedgehog wanting to play and my cat loves to sleep on him. Ashes can't stand anyone else except one of my boyfriend's best friends...Ace loves anyone that gives him attention. We would be in bad shape if someone wanted to break in, Ace would go get the appropriate toy and beg to play lol.

Christina.....that's pretty much how my dogs are....not very good watch dogs. But I think that out of the three, Carley might turn out to be my watch dog. She's only 5 mths old right now, so she's still friendly with everyone, but she IS starting to bark when she sees people walking down the street. And the funny thing is, she has a BIG bark for a puppy! I always say that she has a "big girl" bark!  LOL  It's very deep and loud and scary sounding.

Marley and Carley's mom was a full blooded pit bull and has the sweetest disposition. Their daddy was some romeo that somehow got into the fence and knocked her up....so we don't know what daddy is. Marley looks exactly like her mom and has more of the pit bull features. Carley......I can't really tell what she looks like. The vet said maybe a yellow lab? I got them from a friend of mine who owned the mom and she had 14 puppies! Only 12 of them survived.....but still....that's a HUGE litter! Don't dogs only have 8 nipples? LOL I don't know how she managed to feed them all, but they were all really healthy and surprisingly, neither of my puppies even had worms when I took them to the vet the first time and I thought ALL puppies had worms initially. They are both about 45 pounds right now and the vet says they will most likely be about 75 pounds full grown. They are stocky and muscular like pits are. And so far, both of them seem very intelligent and easy to train. In fact, they are easier to train than Bella, my lab/husky mix who is a little over a year old. Bella just has no attention span and gets distracted too easily. She's a typical lab.....very hyper and loveable.

Unfrotunately I don't have any good pictures to share. My St Bernard, Zeus, would take up the whole screen. And my grey cat, Q, does not like the camera. I have tried to take a few pictures in the past, but when she sees me pointing the camera at her, she stalks off all indignant and then we have to put up with her the rest of the night.

You would not be able to see Zeus' eyes, just his jowls! He is so droopy it is just so sad. He always looks depressed! I will try to get some pictures but I am not sure that I can get them posted here. Anyway...it was great to see all of yours and hear their wonderful stories!

    Re: Furbabies- Post your pics!

Looks like I'll be the first one with photos of my "fid" y'all have furbabies, well, we with birdybuddies have fids! She is tooo cute (in my totally unbiased opinion) and lots of fun. Except when I'm trying to do anything with beads. She thinks that she needs to learn whatever it is I am doing (a typical parrot behavior, they have to learn some skills from the flock) and so has now become obsessed with my beads. It doens't help any that I work on my diningroom table which is only 12 inches from her cage. SHe can just hop right onto my shoulder, or worse, right onto the table and start throwing things off and ruining baggies, spilling the beads. *Sigh* ah well, I'm making her a set of birdy jewlry toys to play with, have to have a large supply to keep her entertained.

OK, bummer that I can't get any images on here. I'm gonna go file a complaint about their photo posting format. When even my ISYS (IT guy) husband can't make it work, then you know it's not a good setup.

Lois, do you see the little picture of the tree when you go to reply to a post? If you click on that, it will give you a box to put the link to your picture and then click on "insert." You do have to have your pictures uploaded somewhere first.....like Flickr or Photobucket. Once you have your photos uploaded there, you simply right click the picture and select "copy image location" and then paste it here in the box when you click on the picture of the tree.

I hope that wasn't too confusing. Hmm

Tried that, couldn't get it to work! Not to mention, I object to being required to have the photos online to post them here. Once you put them online on a website like flickr or photobucket you lose controle of them. Sorry, my husbands a security specialist, so now I know just a little too much....
