Hello,

I live in Texas and I was wondering how would I go about copyrighting my business name so that I can get some business cards and other advertisement stuff going. I just don't want someone to sue me or steal my idea.

Try looking at a web site like "Legal Zoom.com" and you can find forms for copyriting and most any other legal document. Another search would be for copyrite foms. Lots of things to look at.

Hi,

I think the correct term you are looking for is trademark. You cannot copyright a business name.

If you're looking to protect the layout of the design, then you would get it copyrighted.

You file a trademark on the USPTO.gov site or file for copyright protection with the US Copyright.gov office.
