Hi all!  It's been ages since I've posted here.  I need some help.  I've been trying to find out what color the Swarovski crystals are in these earrings:

They are not yellow topaz.  It is a color similar to "chili pepper" without the AB coating.  They have slightly more red in them than what appears in the photo.  I made these earrings a while back and a friend bought them from me.  They were such a cool color that I want to purchase more of them.  I got these in a free mixed pack I got with an order a while back.  Trying to locate the color,  I ordered two different colors which did not match these.  These are like a muted yellow which sometimes looks brownish or reddish.  They are like the color of brandy.  This color looks great in brass.  Anyone have any suggestions as to what the color might be?

To me this looks like Indian Red or Crystal Copper. It's so hard to tell with a computer though, because what I see may not be what you are seeing... What company did you order from and do they have their own color chart???

It's not crystal copper, because it doesn't have an AB coating on it.  I don't think I've seen Indian Red.  I got them in a free mixed packet at either M&J Trimmings or Blue Mud.  Maybe I'll order some Indian Red and see if that's it.  Thanks for your thoughts.

I didn't see any Indian Red on the sites that you ordered from, so I'm not sure if that is it.... But I did look at their color charts, and the smoked topaz looks close, but only on the Blue Mud Site. So I'm not quite sure, which is a bummer about computers- none of the colors look the same from one chart to the next!! I hope you find it without having to go through a bunch of colors!!

I think your first guess was right - it is Indian Red!  A big thanks to you BeadyLady, for solving my mystery!   I did a search for Indian Red on Etsy and that definitely looks like the brandy-type color I was describing.

My problem now - I can't find Indian Red flatbacks in any size larger than 20ss anywhere on the internet.  I need a minimum size of 30ss, preferably 34ss.  I suppose I could look at hotfix colors.  I would imagine you can glue in hotfix rhinestones just as you can no-hotfix.

Anyone know who sells Indian Red flatbacks in either of these sizes?

Your welcome!! I had a hunch that it looked similar. I haven't seen any in the larger size either- it seems that no one makes them that big in that color?? What size did you get in your mixed pack? I hope you find what you are looking for!!

One of the sites I purchase from has what you are looking for. Indian Red, 34ss, Flatback Rhinestones, NOT hot fix. Here is the web address

www.glitzonline.com. Once you navigate to the Flatback rhinestones you will find the color you want under Classic Colors. You can purchase by the dozen, 1/2 gross, or gross.

Glitzonline is great! They carry so many sizes and shapes that are hard to find elsewhere.

Sherri,

I was thinking it looked more like Swarovski's Smoked Topaz. Here they are on Dreamtime Creations:

What do you think? There's a little more of a selection for that color too!
