I was just wondering is there any other stitch that can be used on bead crochet rope patterns that would give the same effect as a bead crochet rope? Also how to do you read the vertical patterns? Ive never done one but would love to try.

Im in the middle of beading a butterfly but have foubd myself stuck on how to bead the body. In the picture it looks 3d and same with other ones i have seen. Does anyone have any idea how to do the body? Or have a tutorial?

Thankyou in advance :-)

Umm... That's peyote stitch, not bead crochet.

The body looks like a combination of two tubes, one big, one small, which they've joined together.

I knew it was peyote.

I had the same question and you can read the answers on the post "

Re: Help with Russian Butterfly pattern

None of the answers worked, so i did a brick stitch tube that increased and decreased to make the shape. Here is a pic

I haven't tried it yet, but I have read that you can use brick stitch with a bead crochet pattern. Some of them are really so pretty, so I want to try this sometime.
