I'm brand new to beading and I'm looking for a good online source to buy seed beads.  the colors I'm looking for are rather specific, so I'm looking for an impressive color selection without being absurdly expensive, since I'm also cheap.  I'm sure you've all gotyour preferred sources, anyone out there have a suggestion?

Hello,

There are any number of qualities of seed beads and I learned this the hard way.

Beads for fringe do not need to be as precise as beads for weaving. If you plan on weaving, go for the better quality beads as they will line up much better than the lesser quality beads. It took me awhile to figure out that my problems with my weaving projects were due to the lesser quality beads that I was using. When I purchased better beads my weaving became fun instead of frustrating.

I have been ordering beads and jewelry making supplies from Fire Mountain Gems for 16 years. They have a huge selection of seed beads from several sources. There is a $5 shipping charge that I find to be very affordable. There is no way that I can drive anywhere for $5 and find the selection of beads and jewelry making supplies that is offered by Fire Mountain Gems. The customer service is excellent and I find that very important. The information at their website will be helpful in determining which beads will work for your projects.

Peace and love,

Diane

For cheap and colorful beads, pandahall is recommended.

The seed beads sold by Pandahall are crap.  Been there and done that.  Sad

Hi Everyone, I'm new here.  Love this forum.

A few weeks ago I got an email from Bead Haven that they updated their website.  I ordered some things and was very happy.  The old website was not very user friendly, but the new site is awesome!  Their website is http://www.beadhaven.com

I've ordered from fire mountain before but I never seem to have luck with them.

For those that don't know about Bead Haven they are a HUGE store in Frankenmuth, Michigan.  Every time I'm on that side of the state I HAVE to visit.  It is the largest bead store I've ever seen and they have so many unique and beautiful things.
