Hi All! While I've been lurking about in the shadows, it's been a long, long time since I've posted anything. A friend of mine asked me if I would donate some "girly" pieces to a fundraiser event and this is what I came up with. it was very gray and gloomy during the time i was making these so the bright colors really helped me to feel better :)

The first one is just a series of daisy chains attached to ladder-stitched ends. very easy to do.

this one is netting. The flower beads are incorporated into the netting while the little leaves were added later. this is the VERY FIRST netting project I have ever done. I've attempted netting in the past but something just didn't click. I decided to try again though and this is the result. Netting, I think, is my new favorite simple stitch :)

As an aside, i have to say that these might be the last you see of my projects for at least several months. We just got notice from our landlord and have until May 1 to be moved out of our current home. I'm gonna miss this place a lot! Not too many homes that are so convenient to everything but make you feel like you are in the country. At this point in time I'm not holding my breath about finding another place that's in our price range that will have a 400 sq. foot place to set up a studio in. but ya never know so I'm not totally discounting the possibility. God has pulled off greater miracles :)

By the time we get into a new place and reasonably settled we will be dealing with my oldest son's graduation from HS and IMMEDIATELY after that we will be leaving for a week long camping trip that we do every year. Then within days after that I and two of my kids will be starting a cross-country road trip to see family and friends. We'll be back home sometime in July.

Oh yeah, the house hunting/purging/packing thing is going to pretty much fall on my shoulders since it's tax season and my husband works in excess of 70 hours a week until April 15th. Happy, happy joy, joy!!!

Beady blessings,

Shellie,

Love your daisy projects.  My mom's name was Daisy.  You have inspired me to do some chains tonight.  God has wonderful plans for you and your family, keep the faith, and everything will fall into place.  Daisy Blessings to you! Smile

Very Sweet! And leaving me longing for spring, It can't get here quick enough. Going to be a few rough months for you, I'm sure. Moving is a night mare no matter what. Wishing you a happy purge! But so many positive things are going on for you also, I'm happy for you on those aspects. Best of luck, and hope to see maybe some great pieces that you'll churn out come the summer.

These bracelets are lovely and they certainly brighten up a grey day. I am sure that they will raise lots of money for the fund raiser.

I like the citrus colours in these pieces of handmade beaded bracelets they are very pretty
