White and Red is one of my favorite color combination and this bracelet even though simple embraces all that I like, it looks elegant and almost regal. The red glass beads gives it a rubied flare, like expensive jewelry. It is knotted with nylon macrame cords, and embellished with Czech and Japanese beads.

Vicky, I like it a lot!!! It reminds me of either fine jewelry like you said with rubies, or to me it reminds me also of vintage costume jewelry which I used to sell. The c.j. companies mimicked the fine jewels of Cartier, etc. and made them affordable to the mass market. Your bracelet has that "look" of metal surrounding a number of precious (in the case of c.j. rhinestones) gems. Very very nice. Donna
Thank you Donna!!! That was the thought, I liked the idea of fine jewelry in macrame form. I like the sparkles that the beads give off, just like real gems, without the price tag.
I never heard of the c.j. companies but I will google it, I'm curious.
I also made a necklace with that idea in mind but forgot to post it, still working on the earrings. But I just feel so humbled when I see the beautiful pieces other readers post. What an amazing community.
thanks again
vicky
Vicky, did not mean to use abbreviations and confuse. c.j. is Costume Jewelry and our states of Rhode Island and New York led the way for a LOT of the big companies. c.j. was made by companies like Eisenberg, Napier, Coro, Trifari and many many others. A bit later on a lot of companies were in other states notably California too. Donna
......lol....thanx for clearing that up..
Very pretty, Vicky, I love the micro macrame also and have done a few pieces.
