So I'm making a beaded lampshade with 2-drop peyote. I did dummy rows to figure out how wide each panel needs to be but now I'm stuck on how to figure out the height. If I was just doing a random pattern it wouldn't be a big deal but I want to use specific designs. So how do I figure out the height? I'm using Muyaki sz 11 delica.
Thanks in advanced !
Miyuki delicas measure .0667 across the hole dimension and approx. .0550 (some will say .0500, but I have measured many of them and find them closer to .0550). So take the prox height of the section of lamp.........say 6" as an example and multiply it by .0550 and you should have the number of rows. There will be a slight difference as there is a "half" row first and last because of the way peyote sits. That is all going on the assumption that your sample for width was horizontal. Donna
Thanks! That's really helpful. The dummy rows were horizontal. 56 sets across - going to be a really big panel!
