Hi...

I am new here and new to beading.  I am mainly interested in making barefoot sandals.  I have tried to google how to make them and whilst I came up with a couple of sites - I didn't feel the information was very clear.

I have looked at your related posts but they seem to be out of date.

I have had a go at making a couple of designs........but would like to know what is the best size beads to use and what type of beads.

Any advice/help/suggestions would be most welcome. :)

The size of bead depends on the design element your want to accent. I like to make them for "Fun wear" with 8mm elastic and pony beads or plastic  beads.  I have had custom orders for Crystals and Clasp and a design like an ankle Bracelet with the 'Slave Strap around the second toe...

about.com has a barefoot sandal that can be custom designed in a 100 different styles.
