KipperCat:

Really beautiful!  What size beads did you use? I love the way you outlined the triangles with the silver Delicas.

Thank you.

I have used 11 sized green/blue ones, and the black ones are from Panduro, a bit larger, maybe size 9, or thereabouts.  The silver cylinder ones made the whole difference, but I don´t know what brand they are, quite long, to be 11/0´s, but very thin.

It is a bit tricky to chose beads for this design, to get the correct curve. Lots of errors and ripping behind this version. :D

Thanks, I love this pattern.

ps  I tend to use the term delicas for all cylinder beads.  It's a habit I'm trying to break.

I do the same. Just realized a few months back, the difference  in cylinder and delicas, and,- yeah, you know! Wink

Ingrid, those "long" silver cylinders could be like a number 1 bugle bead.......... those would be darn near the size of a delica but longer than one. First time I got some vintage bugles they included some of them and I know they were bugles because they predated delicas as far as I could tell.

But then again, it could just be some different manufacturer who is not making to the same size. That is why I use delicas almost exclusively in my loom weaving work.........they produce a really fabric-like piece. Toho's are a slightly different size (in the ones I measured that is) but for regular beading you cannot tell the difference. Donna
