I finally completed the scarab necklace (made to go with my egyptian cuff) and I also made an owl pendant (with a second one in progress)
And all I managed to do so far with this guy is glue him down:
Well that's all the embroidery I have for now :)

excited to see how the last one turns out...lovely work
Your finished owl is absolutely beautiful! I'd be so proud if I were you. Your colour palette is wonderful and I dont see it as ecer going out of style. Lovely, indeed. Can't wait to see more of your handiwork.
I love the owl pendant you did a beautiful job! :)
Welcome back, Christina!
I like the scarab pendant! My cousin in England is totally into ancient Egypt, so I'm actually designing a scarab necklace for her for Christmas. The scarab is Vintaj, and I'd like to put a patina on it. What do you think would work better, gilder's pste or one of those newfangled inks I've been hearing about?
The owl is cute, too. My teenaged niece is into that; she "borrows" this glass owl pendant from her mother all the time and "forgets" to give it back.(lol) Your embroidery looks great! How'd your Renaissance faire go this year? I may have to have a third surgery on my thumb, this time to cut the tendons so maybe I can regain more movement in my thumb. We'll see.

Hello Christina, the necklace is gorgeous and i love the little Owl picture, it is so beautiful, thats just the right inspiration for me as i got to make something with owls for my aunts birthday, i am just trying to draw a picture for a embroidery necklace with an owl in winter colors. i struggle a bit so far, but having fun to find a colorway that suits.
And i enjoyed a look into your blog, i am a proper vintage fan too.

Glad to see you posting again.
Love your pieces you always do such great work.
You always have such great focal beads where do you find them all? When I find one that I like they are just sooo expensive that there is no way I can afford them.
I can't wait to see the finished piece of your last owl piece.
Don't be such a stranger you miss you and your creativity when you're not around.
