Hi Everyone!  I'm a bit new to beading.  When making earrings for little girls (say ages 7-9), do you use the same earwires as you would for adults or are there special ones, or different sizes?  If so, where do you get them from?  Please help!  Thanks so much!

No, they wear the same size we do.  My recommendation for young ones would be post-style or leverback, as I feel they tend to be the most secure in the ears.  When they're a little older, you can let them try the French wires, fish hooks and kidney hooks.

Hope this helps!

Same size, but since they haven't typically have their ears pierced very long, you should use very hypoallergenic ear wires. I'd recommend niobium, plus they come in really awesome colors that (from my experience) little girls love.
