Sarah
welcome to beading daily forum. This is a very pretty!. It looks like it had some type of macrame stitch. From what I can see it looks like "jute cord" on the outside of the beads.
check back,(I know I will)often

Sarah, Can you show us a larger picture? There has been a tutorial going around that uses jump rings to achieve this look. I don't remember who originated it in on her blog, but Beading Gem's journal did feature it recently. You should find it by googling Beading Gem's journal
the tutorial is by the gossiping goddess. here is one of her pieces

The one on the left is like the one I recently brought back from Peru, using a 3-row stich:
Now get this!! This one is $500 made from semi-precious stones and sold at Neiman Marcus.
Neither of these examples use jump rings, but same effect is achieved through tying only.
thank you, KipperCat.... narrowing it down!
Wow! I love that tutorial. It's not exactly what I wanted, but useful, nonetheless!
Hi
Take a look at "Netsome glamour" by Cynthia Poh in Bead&Button, August 2011, page 54-57. It is worked on netted
rope with 3 large beads around, but the embellishment looks kind of similar. Perhaps it would help you to create a
pattern similar to your bracelet.

I know exactly how to do this. However, I do not have my tutorial up yet on you tube.
As soon as I do I will post.
Too bad I can't post anything from my iPad.

Of Course, I don't have the material to follow the Tut but this is and awesome, clearly detailed Tut.
I will add it to my bucket list.
