beadsfriends has a tutorial for this on YouTube.  I like the look of it, but haven't tried myself.

I have made this Chenille Rope using beadsfriends tutorial.  It is real easy.  I had to write myself a short (5 line long) pattern.  After doing your base row it is just a repetition of rows 4 and 5 of the pattern until you reach the required length.  It is just modified herringbone!  She also has a tutorial for making seed beaded end caps for this rope.

I have also conquered beadsfriends Beaded Crocheted Ropes and Turkish Flat Bead Crochet.  I am currently struggling to conquer their Turkish Two-Loop Bead Crochet.  I intend to try more of beadsfriends tutorials.  I like coming across unusual "patterns" especially old (forgotten??) ones.

Happy Beading!!

Made this last week as a high school graduation present for a friend in her future school's colors. :) Loved it so much {and it's so easy!} that I'm making one for myself.
