Hi. I am brand new to this so forgive me if I'm not doing this correctly! Today I saw the most fantastic bracelet . . . large brushed gold beads with a druzy (sp?) as the focal bead. My friend said it cost $350, and it was elastic!! Either end of the druzy had loops through which the elastic ran; then back through some gold coiled material and a crimp, on either side. It was a gorgeous piece but I have never seen the gold coil crimp device anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find such a thing??
Also, I've always wondered about the difference between regular elastic and gossamer floss (which I've never used but have read about it). Thanks tons.
Hi! Welcome to the forums!
I don't know about the elastic, because I don't use it either, but the gold coil was probably french wire, also called gimp or bullion. Most bead stores sell it, here is a link to Artbeads.
