Hi there,

Am I the only one having trouble getting to the sign-up for either of the new newsletters (Jewelry Artist Flashcard or Colored Stones GemMail)?

I've tried linking through Beading Daily (newsletter and website) and through JewelryArtistMagazine.com and Colored-Stone.com.  None of the links are working for me.

I am able to get to all other links provided - believe me I tried everything.  I just get an Internet Explorer error message for  these two.

Thanks for your help.

No.  I too cannot sign up.  I'm having the same experience.  I don't know what else to do.  Michelle told me to email Interweaver, which I just did.  Hope it works

You can look through the comments and see if anything helps:

http://www.beadingdaily.com/blogs/daily/archive/2008/09/11/silver-amp-gold-chain-maille-necklace-project.aspx

It looks like some people can get in fine and others can't.  Sorry I can't help you more!  The good news is the contest will be running for awhile, so hopefully you'll hear back soon.  (You can also try contacting customer service here--click on the "Help and FAQ" link.  The customer service email address is on that page.)

Hi Kim, if you can tell me which link you're having a problem with and if you got any specific error message I can try to troubleshoot the problem and see if we can fix it for you. We did extensive testing on the links but there are always a handful of situations where errors take place.

Can you let me know the page you weren't able to reach?
Was it the Jewelry Artist or Colored Stone signup form page, or the contest signup page? Did you get an error message? A blank page? Nothing?

Then if you can send me any information on your computer like what browser you're accessing the web through, and any antivirus software you have running, it will help us even more.

Hope I can help!

Sincerely,

 Hi Tricia,

I tried both the links provided for the newsletters both from the Beading Daily newletter and directly from the websites (both Jewelry Artist and Color-Stone).

In both cases I get the pop-up but only receive the standard "Internet Explorer cannot display web page" error message.  Tried using the diagnostic provided and received no connection errors.

The same thing happens no matter how I try to access the newsletter links.

When I said I was able to access other links I was referring to the other links provided within the Beading Daily newsletter.  I tried several others and had no problem.  That's when I went directly to the websites.

I also tried using the link addresses -http://www.referralblast.com/cs/int/int1.asp?url=http://www.colored-stone.com/newsletter/

and

http://www.referralblast.com/cs/int/int1.asp?url=http://www.jewelryartistmagazine.com/newsletter/

These addresses are shown at the top of the Internet Explorer error pop-up.  I tried dumping this down to just the the 'referalblast.com' address and this appears to be the problem.  Explorer can't find it.

I'm using a broadband connection using Internet Explorer 7.0

Thanks for your help,

Kim

 Hi Bejeweled,

I think we realized some of the links might have looked a little bit like phishing links to some antivirus software, so I've fixed them to be more reliable. Can you try one of these links and let me know if they work? If one of the links does not work - can you let me know what happens - a blank page? an error message? nothing? You can e-mail me directly if it's easier. tgdowik@interweave.com

Happy Beading!

Sincerely, Tricia G

TriciaG:

The first one said "Oops, this page does not exist."  I may try the others later
