I should just buy those in 5 pound bags. I love those daisy spacers!! It just gives a little something there.

    Just my 2 cents!

I agree! I dont know how many I'll buy/if I'll buy. Depends, you know... I want to get them though (eventually)

I see them everywhere, and framing the tops of beads in earrings so it looks like they're set in them, and it makes it elegant. And nice. :-)

     OK - rondelle. Thanx!

And yes, they do "set off" the beads!

    Re: What are these?

If you want them in Sterling silver, I wouldn't buy them at FMG - they're too expensive.  You can get them for about 60 cents a gram at gem shows and they come on strands.  A lot of daisy spacers can fit on a 16-inch strand.

Also, try BlueMud.com.  They've got them in copper and in all sizes - very reasonable, too!  I'm sure BlueMud.com has them in Sterling, but your best bang for your buck will be at gem shows.

Do you have to get them in Sterling Silver? I was just thinking any kind of metal that I'd see at the store and is reasonably-priced...

    Re: What are these?

I've got a variety of different rondelle spacers and they're not all sterling.  I have some in pewter that are very nice and not expensive.  You can get them in all different metals, but some of the craft store ones do look a bit cheap.  I suppose you just have to look at some different things and see what looks good to you.

    Re: What are these?

No, you don't have to get them in Sterling silver.  Many of the bead shops carry the daisy spacers that are silver-, gold-, or copper-plated pewter from a company called Tierra Cast.  They make good quality findings.  If I remember correctly, the bead stores that I've been in sell them for about $5 for 100 spacers.  I hope this helps!

     Tierra Cast. Will remember.

    Thank you!!

Is BlueMoon a maker of quality-supplies? That is the brand at Joannfabrics and I was just wondering other people's opinions...

    Re: What are these?

I like some of their beads but sometimes I think some of the findings look cheap or not as detailed. For me, I buy what I like and what I would purchase if on a bracelet.

I know that is not much help. I buy some at Hobby Lobby. If you have one near you, watch for the sales. Almost everything will gone on sale for 50% off as sometime in the month. I wait until it does then buy a bunch at once. Be sure to sign up for the e-mail flyer so that you can see what is on sale on Sunday. They are closed on Sunday but I can make my list ahead of time. Also on their web site they usually have a coupon that you print for up to 40% off a regular price item.

I watch their sales and this helps to keep the costs way down so the profits will be more!

I have ordered some from FMG but I am one of those that likes to see it in my hand to make the decision. Having said that I have been VERY HAPPY with what I have ordered from FMG ( Fire Mountain Gems ).

    Re: What are these?

I agree with Sheila about Blue Moon beads and about HL sales!  I always used to wait until the 50% off sales were going on.  Generally they have decent quality items, although their findings are generally plated, not Sterling or gold filled.  I've bought their silver plated chain though, and it's remarkably tarnish-resistant if you take the usual precautions (storing in plastic bag, etc).  For the quality of what you're buying though, I prefer to wait for the sales.
