I am making a ring with herringbone stitch, delica 11's. There are only 2 beads per row and my beads are not slanting. I have tried nylon and fireline thread. ladder start and 4 bead start. The beads lay side by side and look like square stitch.....any suggestions? Thank you
Maybe your tension is too loose. It should be slightly slanted in at the top of the beads.

By row, I assume you mean horizontal. In that case, they won't slant. The 2 beads wide strip can be useful though. You'll get that pretty slant back if you widen to 4 beads.
