I like Jean Campbell's pattern. I'm hoping to get rid of some of my stash by participating in this bead along.

What about this Crystal Radiance brooch? I think it would look awesome as a medallion or pendant!

Or the red herring necklace from bead&button's free project list

That would be perfect - a poppy just in time for Remembrance Sunday. For those of you from England - I'd still donate to the poppy appeal! And for those who don't know (I'd guess most of you), the poppy appeal is run by the Royal British Legion to raise money for old soldiers. http://www.poppy.org.uk
Perdita, I like both of these. I think I'll do the poppy even if we don't do it as a group.
In the US, the poppy is a traditional flower for Memorial Day, which is similar to Remembrance Sunday in the UK.
I like the Palmetta and Kolen pendants from the original post. I think the Crystal Radiance brooch would lose some of it's appeal without the outer fringe which makes it appear as a star burst, unless of course those were also used.
The poppy idea is also a very good one, either to commemorate Remembrance Sunday, or Memorial day.
Jennifer, I like the Jean Campbell necklace and would be very interested in giving it a try.
I was just too involved with other projects to participate in the first bead along, but I did download the pattern to try later.
Kipper Cat, the medallions patterns you found would be fun to do also. I think these patterns are beautiful.

This is a Hungarian design, but it has a very good free English tutorial.

Porcelánvirágok is the Hungarian name of this motif
Porcelain Flower Pendant
KipperCat, I've made that one! It does come out really nice, and it's easy once you get the flow of the design. Also, you can substitute many different kinds of beads for the embellishment.

I think we'll stick with the Jean Campell project for now - I'd sort of like to stick to using the Beading Daily free projects and projects from Beadwork magazine, if that's okay with you ladies.
I'll get some dates together and we can start working on the next Bead Along for October! Yay!
