Perhaps I have not been going to the right stores but I cannot find small gem chips anymore. All I see are medium to large and I don't know if that will change the piece alot and I don't want to get them and mess up the design....what should I do!!??!!
I used small gem chips and I think that may have contributed to the 'soft' shape that I have in my necklace. From the pictures of other projects I think the larger chips make for a more rigid and rounder shape. Because my piece is a longer length, the drapey effect works and I like wearing the necklace. However, I want to remake it with larger chips for the more structured look. This pattern works with both large and small chips. Just go for it!
